The Brothers Green
When I was younger my energy was with Hank. Explore! Learn! Ask questions! Do big things! I still explore and learn and ask questions and (sometimes even) do big things, of course.
As I have grown and changed as a human being, I find myself with a bone deep understanding of John. We share anxieties and fears and somehow, his neverending belief in the goodness of people.

As a child I was told to make a little birdhouse in my soul, and without ever realizing how or when it had come to be there, I understood one day that the thing with feathers had settled into that birdhouse long ago and was the background music of my life. It had always been there, even if I couldn't always hear it. It is still always there, even if I can't always hear it.
